After going through two major crises, the oil & gas sector is now facing an accelerating energy transition. While efforts in decarbonising the economy have, so far, stemmed from power generation, a net zero world will have to do without hydrocarbons in all other sectors. Oil companies are therefore revising their strategies, and are also under pressure from their shareholders who are increasingly sensitive to climate risks.
